Job summary

STI Health & Wellness in Maryland seeks an experienced Clinical Psychologist to provide short‑term, evidence‑based behavioral health services in an EAP setting. You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver brief therapy to a diverse client population.

The role is hybrid with two days remote; you will work independently within a multidisciplinary team and focus on trauma, substance use, co‑occurring disorders, couples counseling, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting intake evaluations and comprehensive psychological assessments.
• Ability to formulate DSM-based diagnoses and develop individualized, short-term treatment plans.
• Provide short-term psychotherapy and counseling with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake evaluations and review psychological and social history.
• Perform clinical interviews, assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Diagnose behavioral health conditions per DSM guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
• Provide short-term psychotherapy to individuals and couples.

STI Health & Wellness is seeking experienced Clinical Psychologists to provide high-quality, short-term, EAP, evidence-based behavioral health services to a diverse client population. The position is hybrid with 2 days of remote work. We are particularly interested in clinicians with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Trauma and psychological trauma treatment
• Substance use disorders and addiction recovery
• Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
• Couples and relationship counseling
• Sex therapy and sexual wellness
• LGBTQ+ affirming care, including gender identity and sexual orientation concerns

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, formulate diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide short-term effective therapeutic interventions that support clients in achieving emotional wellness and resilience. You will work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and review relevant psychological, and social history.
• Perform clinical interviews, psychological assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Diagnose behavioral health conditions in accordance with the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs, goals, and evidence-based practices.
• Provide short-term psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, spouses, military members adult populations.
• Deliver specialized treatment for trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Provide affirming and culturally responsive care to LGBTQ+ clients, including those seeking support related to gender identity, sexual orientation, and relationship concerns.
• Facilitate couples counseling
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, SOAP notes, and progress reports.
• Document clinical encounters and treatment outcomes within established timeframes.
• Collaborate with clients, healthcare providers, and other professionals to support positive treatment outcomes.
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards of psychological practice.
