Job summary

SIU Medicine is seeking a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry to provide psychiatric services and train medical students in Springfield and Jacksonville. The incumbent will maintain professional outpatient practice, participate in inpatient care, and conduct research.

Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, completion of residency training in psychiatry, Illinois licensure, and board certification in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine.

Qualifications

• Must have an MD or DO degree.
• Must have completed four years of approved residency training in psychiatry.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the State of Illinois.
• Must be board certified/eligible in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric services in various locations.
• Teach medical students and residents in psychiatry.
• Maintain outpatient practice in accordance with policy.
• Participate in inpatient and consultation-liaison coverage.
