Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a child and adolescent psychiatrist to expand outpatient and community-based services and strengthen education for general psychiatry residents and medical students. The faculty member will lead curriculum development and supervise residents and students within the UICOMP system.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching, and helping to establish a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in collaboration with community

Qualifications

• MD or DO graduate of an LCME/AACOM-accredited medical school.
• Graduate of an ACGME-approved child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship.
• Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Illinois.
• ABPN board-certified in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care & expansion of child and adolescent psychiatric services.
• Supervision and teaching of general psychiatry residents and medical students.
• Function as a University faculty member, performing duties appropriate to academic rank and position.
• Supporting the development of an ACGME-accredited child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, administration of the program, recruitment and selection, faculty development, orientation, evaluation, and promotion.
