Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing monitoring of consumers and completes documentation related to monitoring/observations in accordance with MD orders.
• Engages consumers to ensure safety, needs are met, and participation in planned activities.
• Assists with personal hygiene, medical appointments, tasks, and safety issues.
• Provides support to teachers during class time and helps keep consumers on task.
• Maintains unit schedules and encourages participation in activities.
• Performs hand-off communication at shift change.
• Leads groups and activities to engage consumers in treatment.
• Documents in clinical records clearly and timely.
• Collaborates with nursing, therapy, and recreation staff for milieu management.
• Responds to crisis situations using appropriate interventions.
• Maintains clean and orderly units, rooms, and common areas.
