Qualifications

• Certifications: Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• PROVIDES CLINICALLY SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AS REQUIRED BY PROGRAM: Understand symptoms and behaviors associated with substance use and mental illness; recognize warning signs for suicide; know opiate overdose signs; demonstrate active listening, motivational techniques, and crisis management; establish rapport with consumers and families; maintain treatment boundaries; prioritize assignments; orient consumers and families to program; complete admissions paperwork; respond promptly to requests; observe self-administration of medications using 2 identifiers; follow PRN meds counting protocol; collect BAL and urine screens as needed.
• ENSURES CLIENTS RECEIVE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES: Work with treatment team to provide comprehensive services; document activities per policies; provide emergency assistance if needed; work with dual diagnoses clients; implement daily program format; guide daily activities; ensure client contact respects dignity and culture; maintain safe living environment; understand unit requirements.
• PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO CLIENTS FOR OFF CAMPUS ACTIVITIES: Understand policy and procedures; provide transportation as needed.
• MAINTAINS EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND TEAMWORK WITH CO-WORKERS: Provide accurate data during shift handoffs; maintain open communication; stay proficient with Health IT; ensure all tasks are communicated; demonstrate courteous and respectful behavior; protect confidentiality.
