Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Clinical Program Manager in New York to ensure mandated orientation, ongoing competency assessment, and staff interventions within a designated nursing program.

The role partners with Nursing, Medical, and Quality leaders to drive clinical practice improvements, staff development, and patient outcomes through data-driven strategies and educational resources.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in New York State required
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• Certification in specialty area preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical operations within the program and ensures compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, counsels, mentors, disciplines, and evaluates staff per internal policies.
• Develops and maintains departmental budget with financial oversight.
• Develops standard operating procedures and reviews policies for changes as needed.
• Coordinates education and performance improvement activities with Nursing, Medical and Quality Leadership.
• Designs action plans to support clinical performance and competency and provides educational resources.
• Establishes and implements goals, policies and procedures for high performance in nursing care delivery.
• Coordinates and leads daily educational program activities aligned with program objectives.
• Collects and analyzes clinical program activity data to evaluate performance and competence.
• Provides technical assistance and education to clinical specialties related to orientation and competency assessment.
• Serves as a clinical role model and resource to nursing staff.

Education

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

Masters in Nursing or health related field

Certification in specialty area
