Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Physician Practice, ensuring quality care, financial viability, and patient safety.

You will coordinate patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, staff performance, charge posting and reconciliation, and ensure compliance with throughput goals and standards across the practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or post-secondary education.
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
• Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare/office practice setting, one of which must be as a Medical Assistant. Must include 6 months at a lead or supervisor level in clinical, scheduling and/or front office operations.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with assigned leader to administer and coordinate all operations to achieve and maintain clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety as well as service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees. Responsible for the coordination of all practice services including but not limited to patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, staff performance management, charge posting and reconciliation; invoice processing using BancPay, Enterprise e-Time, medical assistant clinical services, any procedures and/or other functions.
• Is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental operational throughput goals.
