Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Education Generalist to design and develop eLearning programs for inpatient units, critical care, and the ED. The role includes facilitating preceptor education courses, leading education initiatives for new product implementations, and coordinating ANCC contact hours for continuing nursing education activities.

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN license in Illinois.
• MSN or progress toward within 4 years.
• 3-5 years’ experience in the specified clinical area.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements education opportunities for staff identified through needs assessments, departmental and system goals and new/expanded clinical programs.
• Supports staff to seek/maintain specialty certification including monitoring progress and completion.
• Leads inter-professional teams for unit/division based and hospital-wide clinical process improvement.
• Provides input into staff evaluations as related to clinical competence (quality and practice).
• Attends Unit Based Staff Meetings and CNLC as required.
• Manages unit-based education plans and competency reviews to ensure ongoing staff development.
