Job summary

North Carolina Baptist Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. The role requires an accredited PT degree, state licensure, and BLS certification, with a DPT preferred.

The position emphasizes evaluation, patient education, and collaborative care planning within a dynamic clinical setting. The candidate will interpret records, develop and monitor treatment plans, and ensure compliant documentation while advancing patient mobility and function.

Qualifications

• Obtained degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• DPT preferred or educational requirements commensurate with the date of graduation.
• Physical Therapy License required in the state(s) of employment.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by applicable state standards.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medical records and provider referrals and performs musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and skin evaluations.
• Establishes a patient care plan using evidence-based interventions and coordinates care with the team.
• Sets functional goals with patients and monitors outcomes to guide treatment adjustments.
• Educates patients and caregivers on diagnosis, progress, home programs, and post-discharge needs.
• Communicates with providers and staff; participates in multi-disciplinary meetings as needed.
• Completes documentation and adheres to billing guidelines and productivity standards.
