Job summary

Mariner Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat residents with physical disabilities to relieve pain and restore function. Responsibilities include planning treatment under physician orders, teaching patients and families, and maintaining detailed records in line with state and federal guidelines.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and a current California license; clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT in the state with current credentials.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement therapy according to a care plan.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Administer tests for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provide direct resident treatment per an established plan of care.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs and braces.
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with regulations.
