Job summary

Mariner Healthcare in Fremont, CA is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat residents with temporary or long-term physical disabilities, relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing using exercise, heat, ultrasound, massage, and other therapies.

You will work under physician orders, perform assessments, maintain records, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe home environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in California.
• Covid-19 vaccine required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administer tests for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provide direct resident treatment per an established plan of care.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in device use and care.
• Maintain patient records and discharge planning to safe home environments.
