Job summary

Mariner Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat residents and patients with physical disabilities, aiming to relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing through exercise, heat, ultrasound, and massage.

Under physician orders, the PT will assess neuromuscular and musculoskeletal concerns, document progress, and educate patients and families on devices and home exercises. California licensure is required, with prior clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state board.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats residents and patients under physician order.
• Maintains patient records and documents per policy.
• Educates patients and caregivers on devices and home exercises.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge.
• May supervise PT Assistants and Rehab staff per state guidelines.
