Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to provide venipuncture and specimen processing across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will support the department by handling specimen receipt, accessioning, and basic clerical tasks while ensuring accuracy and timely results.

The role requires CA phlebotomy certification, CDPH license, and BLS/CPR. Candidates must navigate multiple tasks, maintain compliance, and work on-site in a hospital or clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Phlebotomy Technician and CDPH licensed.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR or UC Davis Health CPR or obtain within 3 months of hire date.
• Proficient in adult, pediatric, neonatal venipuncture in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Knowledge of specimen handling, processing and shipping requirements.
• Familiar with EMR, LIS and MS Office systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy duties for adolescent to neonatal patients.
• Accession and process specimens for analysis.
• Answer phones and provide specimen collection information and results.
• Maintain clerical records and supply inventory; assist with area maintenance.
