Zusammenfassung

UCSF Health seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to collect specimens for inpatients and outpatients across UCSF Medical Center floors and affiliated sites. The role includes labeling, sample preparation, data entry, and occasional bone marrow assistance.

Flexibility to work at multiple UCSF locations is required. The technician must hold a California Phlebotomy Certificate and demonstrate strong computer and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of laboratory experience or two years of college with science courses and one year of lab experience, or equivalent.
• Current California State Phlebotomy Certificate.
• Experience drawing from diverse patient types.
• Strong computer, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and at multiple UCSF locations.
• Proficiency with PC, Windows, Word, Excel.
• Previous clinical lab experience and medical terminology preferred.
• Previous Phlebotomy experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Phlebotomy license/certification required.

Aufgaben

• Provide phlebotomy services to inpatient and outpatient clients.
• Collect and label specimens, prepare specimens for transport to main lab.
• Maintain accurate records of drawn specimens and enter data into systems.
• May perform phlebotomy at UCSF Health sites and off-site clinics.
• Assist in Clinical Laboratory Processing as needed.
