Job summary

Thrifty White Pharmacy in Osseo, MN is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The role blends traditional dispensing duties with expanded clinical responsibilities to engage patients and improve health outcomes.

You will support MTM, CMM, CMRs, and TMRs, assist with immunizations, and participate in point-of-care testing and chronic disease management. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent required.
• Must be age 18 to work as a technician.
• Current state certification and/or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT preferred) or willingness to complete required training and certification
• Prefer one year experience in a similar position requiring clinical pharmacy experience
• Completion of pharmacy technician school desirable.
• Prior community pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with ability to engage and build rapport with patients and healthcare providers.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Willingness to receive Community Health Worker Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in the delivery of clinical services, including MTM, CMM, CMRs and TMRs.
• Immunization support and documentation.
• Point-of-care testing (e.g., A1c, blood glucose, cholesterol, flu, strep).
• Remote patient monitoring and chronic disease management initiatives.
• Administrative tasks related to clinical services, including scheduling, billing, and compliance.
• Patient outreach for medication synchronization, adherence programs, and clinical follow-up.
• Gather and document patient health information to support clinical decision-making.
• Coordinate with providers and nurses as part of the care team.
• Quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics related to patient care.
