Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Technician (CPT) for Johns Hopkins Care at Home. Under supervision, you will work with the Outpatient Pharmacy team to interact with patients and healthcare providers, relay information, and ensure continuity of care.

The role includes on-call support, participation in process improvements, and close collaboration with coordinators, the Prior Authorization team, and patients to optimize medication therapy and access to services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by NHA or PTCB.
• Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• PTCB certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and colleagues to relay and obtain pertinent information.
• Provide on-call services for patients as required.
• Participate in process improvement activities and day-to-day outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Support the Prior Authorization team and Patient Assistance Program Specialists as needed.
