Qualifications

• Education: ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician program or US military program; PTCB certification.
• Experience: at least 12 months full-time as a pharmacy technician in the last 36 months.
• Board Certification: PTCB or NHA ExCPT.
• Life Support: BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Security: able to pass a government background check and obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders into EHR and compound IV and chemo medications.
• Ensure USP 797/800 compliance and proper PPE and aseptic technique.
• Comply with Joint Commission regulations throughout the facility.
• Manage pharmacokinetic regimens including vancomycin and anticoagulants.
• Provide staff training on medications and safety.
• Document interventions and adverse events in the patient record.
• Deliver Pyxis and patient orders to wards and clinics.
• Maintain narcotic inventory and daily operations.
