Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking support staff to assist under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations and adherence to policies and state regulations. The role emphasizes accuracy in prescription processing, inventory control, and patient support.

Responsibilities include preparing prescriptions, maintaining supplies, and training Pharmacy Technician I staff, with a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic & intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, heparin/saline.
• Process new drug prescriptions.
• Counts, pours, & mixes pharmaceuticals.
• Packages products into appropriate containers and labels containers.
• Provides training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's.
• Maintains inventory and validates received supplies.
• Develops purchase orders to address shortages.
• Validate removal of expired supplies/materials.
• Schedule deliveries.
• Collects & maintains patient data for assessments.
• Responds to non-routine patient questions.
• Cleans & sanitizes surfaces and laminar hood flows.
• Cleans & organizes supplies.
