Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under a licensed Pharmacist, ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in line with policies and state regulations.

You will handle prescription processing, inventory maintenance, and patient support, while conveying compassionate care. The role requires attention to detail, basic MS Office skills, and the ability to work onsite.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 6 months of relevant experience.
• Must be licensed or registered if required by state.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting, and aligning text).
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: formatting cells, currency).
• Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, heparin/saline.
• Process new drug prescriptions.
• Counts, pours, & mixes pharmaceuticals.
• Packages products into appropriate containers and labels containers.
• Provides training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's.
• Ensures accurate inventory levels and validates received supplies.
• Develop purchase orders to address shortages and schedule deliveries.
• Collects and maintains patient data for assessments.
• Responds to non-routine patient questions & requests.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces and laminar hood flows.
