Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a clinical pharmacist to optimize patient care through pharmaceutical interventions, monitoring, and education. You will round with medical teams, provide drug information, and lead DUEs while supporting residents and students.

The role emphasizes safety, effectiveness, and cost awareness within specialty services. The position requires PA licensure eligibility or active license and a PGY1 residency or equivalent clinical experience.

Qualifications

Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) or 4 years of demonstrated clinical experience.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in PA or eligible within 120 days.
PGY2 residency is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides pharmaceutical care in the specialty area, with drug therapy recommendations and patient counseling.
Plans and measures clinical processes to improve outcomes while minimizing adverse events.
Coaches and develops clinical staff, residents, and students.
Promotes interdisciplinary teamwork and evidence-based clinical pathways.
Assists in planning pharmaceutical care to meet goals and may supervise staff.
Mentors Pharmacy Residents to become clinical specialists.
Contributes to research and may publish results.
