Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh seeks a pharmacist to optimize patient care by providing clinical pharmacy services, drug therapy monitoring, and formulary reviews. You will educate staff, residents, students, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based pathways and improve safety.

The ideal candidate holds a PA pharmacist license (or eligibility) with a PGY1 residency or 4 years of clinical experience; PGY2 residency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) or 4 years of demonstrated clinical experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of PA or eligible to obtain licensure within 120 days.
• PGY2-Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care in specialty area including reviewing patients' drug history and counseling.
• Plan and measure clinical processes to improve outcomes and reduce adverse drug events.
• Coach and train pharmacists, residents, students, and providers to develop clinical staff.
• Promote interdisciplinary teamwork and implement clinical pathways for medication safety.
• Assist in planning pharmaceutical care to meet department goals and supervise staff as needed.
• Mentor Pharmacy Residents to become clinical specialists.
• Present research at meetings or publish results in journals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
