Job summary

Children’s Colorado seeks to hire a Clinical Pharmacy Services Supervisor for General Medicine and Oncology. You will manage day-to-day operations for the clinical pharmacy staff and serve as a clinical resource to promote safe, economical drug use in pediatric care.

In collaboration with the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services, you’ll provide strategic direction, lead quality improvement initiatives, supervise staff, and contribute to formulary decisions while ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

• Education: PharmD or RPh
• Experience: PGY1 Pharmacy Residency plus one (1) year of Pediatric Hospital Pharmacy experience.
• Certification(s): BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute accepted)
• Licensure(s): Licensed pharmacist in the state of Colorado or eligible to sit for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Leads quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety and outcomes.
• Supervises and mentors clinical pharmacists, focusing on development and performance.
• Contributes to formulary management, policy development, and clinical decisions.
• Provides staffing coverage to support continuity of care.
• Maintains relationships with staff, peers, and leadership; liaison between pharmacy leadership and staff.
• Responds to medication information requests and oversees drug use, storage, and administration.
• Verifies orders in the electronic health record and participates in rounds with multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversees pharmacy operations, including dispensing, preparation, and inventory control.
