Job summary

Key duties include ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing pharmacy staff education, coordinating formulary initiatives, and leading antimicrobial and medication safety programs in alignment with hospital objectives.

Qualifications

• TX State Pharmacist License in good standing is required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) required.
• PGY-1 Hospital Pharmacy Residency or BPS Certification.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
• Ability to lead staff and supervise in the Director's absence.
• Strong English communication skills; Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develops, supervises, and evaluates clinical pharmacy services.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Provide pharmaceutical care from neonate to geriatric patients and participate in rounds.
• Collaborate with hospital departments and Corporate Clinical Pharmacy Services.
• Direct the P&T Committee and formulary management.
• Coordinate antimicrobial, opioid stewardship, and medication safety initiatives.
