Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX, seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Manager to develop, supervise, and evaluate clinical pharmacy services, aligning with evidence-based practices and hospital objectives.

You will lead the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, coordinate antimicrobial and opioid stewardship, provide patient-centered care across all ages, and collaborate with other departments while maintaining regulatory compliance; travel to offsite locations may be required.

Qualifications

• TX State Pharmacist License in good standing is required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) required.
• PGY-1 Hospital Pharmacy Residency training or Board of Pharmacy Certification.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
• Ability to supervise in the absence of the Director.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Provide pharmaceutical care from neonate to geriatric; include monitoring and counseling.
• Collaborate with UHS Corporate Clinical Pharmacy Services.
• Develop educational materials and programs for staff.
• Lead the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee and formulary management.
• Coordinate antimicrobial, opioid stewardship and medication safety initiatives.
