This pharmacist position will provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes; promote cost-effective drug therapy management in emergency situations; work closely with technicians, nurses, and medical staff to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to acute care areas. The pharmacist will: adhere to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building; assist with verification of medication orders and distribution of pharmaceutical products; coordinate and participate in the education of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals regarding pharmacotherapy; initiate and/or participate in medication utilization evaluations; participate in drug therapy management in emergency situations.
