Texas Health Resources is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics/Surgery in Plano, TX. This role focuses on accurate medication distribution and delivery of clinical pharmacy services within a small 5-person department.

The position requires a Pharmacist license and pharmacy degree, with hospital experience preferred. It supports patient safety, cost efficiency, and ongoing professional development in a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Pharmacy license.
• 3 years hospital experience or residency preferred.
• CLIA regulations compliance required.
• PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire required.

Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively and building positive professional relationships.
• Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification.
• Provision of clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care.
• Ensure accuracy of own work and maintain competencies and required documentation.
• Support department quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Contribute to cost control and process efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work hours: PRN - Rotating between the following shifts:

• 6:00am - 2:30pm
• 11:00am - 7:30pm

Pharmacy Department Highlights

• Open Monday-Friday 6:00am-7:30pm
• Surgical Hospital Setting
• Small team of 5 people

Here’s What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required Or
• Other Pharm.D. Required And
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
• 3 Years hospital experience or residency Preferred
• PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire Required

What You Will Do

• Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
• Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification
• Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
• Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
• Ongoing professional development and growth.
• Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
