Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctorate Pharmacy or Bachelor’s Degree Pharmacy.
• Ability to accurately dispense and monitor medications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to make independent judgments under stressful situations at times.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to the distribution and control of drugs and pharmacy security.
• RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
• 2 years relevant pharmacist experience or
• 1 year PGY1 pharmacy residency
• Familiarity with common pharmacy technologies, both software and hardware.
• BCPS - Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medications for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Evaluates evidence-based literature to offer appropriate clinical recommendations.
• Ensures and executes policies and procedures for safe medication use.
• Performs clinical medication surveillance, documents interventions, reports adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Coordinates activities of pharmacy technicians in preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications.
• Counsels/Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients in accordance with OBRA or standards.
• Weighs, measures, and prepares sterile and non-sterile medication products.
• Acts as a resource to other healthcare professionals regarding therapies.
