The role includes assessing, monitoring, initiating, and modifying medication therapy to meet patient needs, supervising staff, and managing procurement, storage, and distribution of medications. The position also involves counseling patients, providing drug information, training staff, and participating in transitions of care while evaluating orders for safety

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, RPh license, and MO Medication Therapy Services certification.
• Preferred candidates hold a Doctorate in Pharmacy with 2-5 years of experience.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow, oversee technicians, interns, and volunteers to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees to support operational excellence.
• Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information, staff training, and supporting transitions of care.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, considering patient condition and therapies, documenting activities thoroughly.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and safety within medication processes.
