Exeter Hospital, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee medication therapy, dispensing, and documentation for patient care in a dynamic hospital setting in New Hampshire.

You will work under the Manager Pharmacy Operations, ensuring safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across dispensing systems. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams on dosing, drug interactions, and therapeutic monitoring, while guiding technicians and staff.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy PG1 residency preferred or BS Pharmacy with advanced training.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) or BS Pharmacy with advanced training.
  • 1-3 years experience.
  • Pharmacist – NH licensed.

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor patient medication therapy and orders for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with physicians on medication selection, dosing, and interactions.
  • Provide clinical recommendations and document interventions.
  • Prepare, label, verify, and dispense medications accurately per physician orders and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws and controlled substances regulations.
  • Maintain medication dispensing records and oversee charging/crediting systems.
  • Oversee documentation and recordkeeping for all medications, including controlled substances.
  • Monitor medication-use processes; collect data and provide recommendations for safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per USP guidelines.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff to ensure timely delivery of medications.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and mentoring of staff.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient-centered care.
