Job summary

Advocate Health Navicent Health Medical Center - Pharmacy in Macon, GA is seeking a Pharmacist to oversee safe and effective pharmaceutical care in their practice area, aligned with the regional career ladder and professional standards. You will counsel patients, review orders, participate in emergencies, support medication safety and formulary adherence, and mentor students and staff.

A PharmD or NABP FPGEC, licensure and immunization certification are required; 40 hours weekly with evenings

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.
• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school, or an FPGEC certificate.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Provides patient education and counseling on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, and proper use.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
• Participates in medical emergencies and supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures formulary adherence and assists with non-formulary and investigational medications.
