Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a pharmacist to deliver expert-level pharmaceutical care, immunizations, and patient counseling. You will ensure safe dispensing, educate patients on medication use, and participate in clinical services within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualified candidates hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, active pharmacist licensure, and immunizer certification or willing to obtain within 90 days. Retail pharmacy experience and familiarity with insurance processes are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• Retail pharmacy experience including prescription filling and verification.
• Familiarity with pharmacy operations and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
