Job summary

Smith's Food and Drug in Sunset, UT seeks an experienced pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services, including filling prescriptions, patient counseling, and supervising technicians. You will counsel patients, manage medication therapy, monitor inventory, and coordinate with prescribers to optimize drug therapy in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Board of Pharmacy license required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
• APhA Immunization Certification required.
• Sound judgement/decision making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service with sincerity, patience and respect.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health codes and licensing guidelines.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into the computer system; supervise filling by technicians.
• Counsel patients about medications and potential interactions; ensure understanding of treatment.
• Consult with prescribers on drug therapy appropriateness and safety.
• Maintain inventory and perform daily operations under pharmacy manager guidance.
