Job summary

Smith’s Food & Drug Centers in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services, counsel patients, and supervise technicians. You will ensure compliance with laws and company values of respect, honesty, integrity, and safety.

You will interact with patients in person and by phone, interpret prescriptions, manage data entry, and work under the supervision of the pharmacy manager to maintain accuracy and quality care.

Qualifications

• Board of Pharmacy license is required.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• APhA Immunization Certified is desired.

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Counsel patients about medications and potential interactions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee prescription processing.
• Enter prescription and patient data into the computer system.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations and professional standards.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols.
• Monitor patient profiles and collaborate with prescribers.
