Job summary

UF Health in Saint Augustine, FL seeks a Pharmacist for an overnight 7-on/7-off schedule. The role focuses on pharmaceutical care, medication dispensing, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, and promoting optimal therapeutics and patient education.

You will collaborate with medical and nursing staff, participate in performance improvement, academic programs and clinical research, and supervise a team of technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) is required.
• Post-graduate residency training is preferred.
• Must have attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products; strong communication and customer service skills.
• Florida Pharmacist license or eligible to obtain license within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Overview

This is an overnight position one week on one week off. Monday thru Friday 9:00 PM to 7:00 am and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 pm to 7:00 am

To provide and support pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems, promoting optimal therapeutics and medication education. To participate in the performance improvement, academic programs and clinical research activities of the department. To serve as a liaison to the medical and nursing staff.

ACDP Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy -OR- Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Preferred Education: Post-graduate residency training
• Necessary Skills:Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity.Computer skills and accuracy in calculations.Excellent communication and customer service skills. Supervision of technician employees.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida -OR-Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer
• Required Experience: Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience
• Preferred Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area
• Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees
• Age of Patients Served: All age groups
