Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville seeks a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care, dispense medications and educate patients. The role liaises with medical and nursing staff to promote optimal therapeutics and is involved in performance improvement and clinical research initiatives.

Requires a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy with Florida licensure; residency training is preferred. Less than one year of pharmacist/intern experience is noted as a consideration, with supervisory responsibilities of 3–18

Overview

To provide and support pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems, promoting optimal therapeutics and medication education. To participate in the performance improvement, academic programs and clinical research activities of the department. To serve as a liaison to the medical and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor�s degree in Pharmacy -OR- Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Preferred Education: Post-graduate residency training

• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida-OR-Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer

• Preferred Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area
• Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees
