Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist – Non-Sterile Compounding to provide clinical oversight, verify prescriptions, and support non-sterile compounding operations. The role emphasizes patient safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with providers and technicians in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have Pharm.D. or equivalent, Texas licensure, and experience with non-sterile compounding and pharmacy software.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or ACPE-accredited degree.
• Active licensure in Texas is required (per listed qualifications).
• Experience in a 503A compounding/non-sterile environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and validate prescriptions for non-sterile compounded medications.
• Provide clinical consultation on formulation selection, dosage forms, and compatibility.
• Oversee non-sterile compounding operations in line with USP 795 standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation (MFRs, Compounding Records, SOPs).
• Collaborate with providers and pharmacy staff to ensure quality and patient safety.
