Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a pharmacist to oversee pharmaceutical care, evaluate literature, and design therapy regimens. The role includes patient education, medication safety, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy. Licensure in the state or reciprocity is required; ACPE-accredited PharmD or NABP FPGEC is eligible.

No explicit experience is required, but oncology or hospital experience is preferred; precepting and staff mentorship duties may be included.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the practice state or eligible for reciprocity.
• ACPE-accredited degree (PharmD) or NABP FPGEC certificate.
• Oncology, hospital, or infusion pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care by evaluating literature and designing therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects and adherence.
• Designs, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens.
• Reviews medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Precepts pharmacy students and supervises teammates as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
