Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Kansas is seeking a licensed pharmacist to fill prescriptions safely and accurately, build positive relationships with patients and staff, and oversee operations when the pharmacist in charge is absent.

You will mentor pharmacy technicians, ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state and federal laws, and help grow clinical services such as immunizations and patient education. Meijer provides benefits and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and understanding of state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organization skills.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs, prioritizing customer service.
• In absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
