Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team at 2150 West Broad Street, Columbus. You will ensure safe medication use through accurate dispensing, clinical review, sterile compounding, inventory management, and supervision of pharmacy staff.

A current Ohio Pharmacist license is required. This permanent full-time position is hourly, with union representation (1199).

Qualifications

• Current & valid license to practice pharmacy as issued by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacist with ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Experience with medication preparation, dispensing, and clinical review is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compound, prepare, dispense, and label medications in compliance with state and federal law.
• Review patient profiles for dose accuracy, interactions, contraindications, and therapy duration.
• Transcribe and process verbal prescription orders; verify final product and labeling.
