Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team at Franklin Medical Center in Columbus. You will ensure safe and effective medication use through accurate dispensing, clinical review, sterile compounding, inventory management, and leadership of pharmacy staff.

This hourly, part-time role requires an active Ohio license, strong regulatory knowledge, and leadership abilities; you will collaborate with prescribers and support continuous quality

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice pharmacy in Ohio.
• Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, label medications in compliance with laws.
• Review patient profiles for dose accuracy and interactions.
• Transcribe prescription orders and verify labeling.
• Manage MARs and use pharmacy software to process orders.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and lead workflow improvements.
• Maintain drug inventory and secure controlled substances.
• Provide staff training and lead meetings.
