Job summary

NorthShore in Naperville is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for part-time coverage at Edward Hospital. The role offers 20 hours/week with flexible day and evening shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.

The pharmacist coordinates clinical services and supports program development to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications include PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school (preferred), residency or 5+ years of clinical pharmacy experience, and current Illinois pharmacist license with

Qualifications

  • Pharm D. from ACPE accredited school preferred.
  • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years clinical pharmacy experience, or ≥5 years of practice.
  • Current Illinois pharmacist license, CPR and ACLS certifications required or within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and optimize daily clinical pharmacy services to ensure top patient care.
  • Assist in developing new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
  • Facilitate staff education and competency development.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel to maintain programs and safety.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Hourly Pay Range:

$58.00 - $89.90 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights
  • Position: Clinical Pharmacist
  • Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville
  • Part Time: 20 hours/week
  • Hours: Flexible Mon-Fri, Day & Evening shifts with rotating weekends & Holidays (7:00am - 3:30pm, 12:00pm-8:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm, 3:00pm- 11:30pm)
What you will need
  • Education:
    • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
    • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)
    • Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience
  • Required License/Certification:
    • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
    • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
    • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.
What you will do

Responsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis. Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows. Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
