Endeavor Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. The role supports clinical pharmacy services and workflow optimization with duties including supervision of staff and ensuring safe, cost-effective drug therapies.

The position requires a Pharm D. (preferred) or equivalent clinical experience, Illinois license, CPR, and ACLS certification readiness. 75% AM and 25% PM shifts with rotating weekends and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited school is preferred.
• Residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience or 5+ years of clinical pharmacy practice.
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License and CPR/ACLS certifications are required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimize daily clinical pharmacy services.
• Develop new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and ensure program compliance.
• Facilitate staff education to maintain competency and safe drug therapies.

Position Highlights

• Position: Clinical Pharmacist
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital
• Full Time (40 hrs/week)
• Hours: Approximately 75% AM shift and 25% PM shifts. Various start times: AM's 6am, 6:30am, 7am. PM start times: 12:30pm, 2:30pm. Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays (4-5 per year) required.

What You Will Need

• Education:


• Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
• Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)
• Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience

• Required License/Certification:


• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association within six weeks of hire into position.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.

What You Will DoResponsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis. Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows. Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
