Job description

Job Overview:

A TriHealth Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing optimal pharmaceutical care to all patients we serve through distributive and clinical functions. The Clinical Pharmacist collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure the appropriateness of all elements of pharmaceutical care and independently operates within policies and procedures to manage the department’s clinical and consultative services. The Pharmacist supervises supportive team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in distributive services. Additional responsibilities include serving as a drug information resource, direct patient interaction, precepting pharmacy residents and students, and contributing to departmental projects in collaboration with Pharmacy Leadership.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacist
  • Knowledge of prescription formulas and mathematics for dosage calculations
  • Working knowledge of Ohio Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • 1-2 years pharmacy experience
Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects to improve patient care quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform drug distribution tasks including verification, order entry, and supervision of technicians.
  • Manage drug inventory efficiently, avoiding stock-outs and waste.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop clinical pharmacy programs.
  • Assist in orientation and training of new staff and precept students and residents.
