Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department. The role focuses on safe medication use, drug information, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Active Illinois Pharmacist license (IDFPR).
• Pharmacy residency or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medication orders to ensure safety and proper use; coordinates resolution of medication issues with pharmacy, nursing, and prescribers.
• Monitors therapy for significant interactions and intervenes when needed.
• Verifies orders before dispensing and maintains accurate documentation and patient profiles.
• Educates patients and staff and participates in quality improvement activities.

Education
