Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a Pharmacist I/II to provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services at the main campus. Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education
• Must have a current valid and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State or Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia
• Must have and maintain a current valid certification of Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pharmacist I: Not required for entry level incumbents
• Pharmacist II: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Registered Pharmacist
• Knowledge of legal dispensing practices, federal pharmacy regulations and therapeutic incompatibilities
• Knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures
• Positive employment references and background checks

Responsibilities

• Conducts outpatient and hospital pharmacy activities to support patient care.
• Review medical records for safety and efficacy of drug therapy; consult with medical staff.
• Input chemotherapy plans and verify dosage and administration routes.
• Counsel patients and families on safe and effective use of medications.
• Participate in disaster drills and clinical education programs.
• Provide pharmacological information to health care professionals.
• Attend rounds and support emergency procedures and problem solving.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform routine duties with attention to PPE and safety protocols.
• Support quality improvement and drug utilization reviews.
