Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation on the main campus seeks a Pharmacist I/II to provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management for patients across neonatal to obstetric care. The position involves rotating day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts with potential advancement to Advanced Practice Pharmacist.

Responsibilities include clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient settings, collaboration with medical staff, and supervision of pharmacy staff.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist I: Not required for entry level incumbents
• Pharmacist II: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Registered Pharmacist
• Must maintain high ethical standards and reliable attendance
• Knowledge of legal dispensing practices, federal pharmacy regulations and therapeutic incompatibilities
• Knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding (USP 800)
• Knowledge of drug-drug, drug-disease state, and drug-allergy interactions
• Knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmacokinetics
• Successful completion of background checks and fingerprint clearance
• Submission of employment documents and references as required by TCRHCC

Responsibilities

• Conduct authorized inpatient and outpatient clinical pharmacy services and clinics
• Review patient records for safety and appropriateness of therapy; consult with Medical Staff as needed
• Counsel patients and families on safe and effective use of medications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Participate in disaster drills and pandemic preparedness; support ongoing quality improvement

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (ACPE-recognized)
