Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness; dispenses medications.
• Assesses compounding feasibility and recommends alternatives when needed.
• Prepares IV admixtures and sterile products, including hazardous agents.
• Responds to drug information requests and monitors drug therapy.
• Ensures safe patient therapy and manages potential adverse effects.
• Maintains inventory of controlled substances and documents activity.
• Counsels patients/families on safe use of medications when appropriate.
