MedStar Health in Virginia is seeking a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to patients under the supervision of a senior clinical pharmacist. Responsibilities include evaluating orders, dispensing medications, and preparing IV admixtures in compliance with all laws and standards.

The role requires a PharmD (or equivalent), 1–2 years of hospital patient care experience, and DC licensure with board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree and/or equivalent pharmacy degree required.
• 1–2 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required.
• Pharmacist license in DC required; board certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and dispenses medication.
• Prepares IV admixtures and sterile products, including hazardous agents.
• Monitors and optimizes drug therapy under supervision of a clinical pharmacist/manager.
• Ensures compliance with laws and department policies; maintains controlled substances inventory.
• Provides drug information and counseling as needed.

Formation

Doctoral degree from an accredited college of pharmacy required

Equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy required
