University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, MD, seeks a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, support safe medication use, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to assess patient needs and optimize outcomes.

The role includes supervising Pharmacy Technicians, training learners, and engaging in quality improvement initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance. Schedule is 7 on / 7 off, 2:30p-1:00a with shift differential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) required, unless U.S. school grad before 2003 or foreign equivalent.
• Maryland Pharmacist License is required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care, promoting safe and effective medication use.
• Reviews patient information, verifies orders, and oversees dispensing and monitoring.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to educate and advise.
• Precepts and supports training of pharmacy learners and new staff.
• Participates in quality improvement and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
• Oversees Pharmacy Technicians within the assigned area.
• Maintains compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
