Responsibilities

  • Provides pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and cost-effective medication use.
  • Reviews patient-specific information, verifies medication orders, and oversees medication preparation, dispensing, distribution, and monitoring.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, patients, and caregivers to provide clinical guidance and medication education.
  • Promotes quality, safety, and cost-effective medication utilization through continuous evaluation and improvement of pharmacy practices.
  • Oversees and directs pharmacy technicians and other staff within the assigned area.
  • Provides training, education, and preceptorship to new team members, students, and other learners as assigned.
  • Participates in direct patient care and supports pharmacy operations across applicable settings.
  • Ensures compliance with department policies, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and other applicable standards.

Education & Experience - Required
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy Required (PharmD) unless graduated from U.S. School of Pharmacy in or before 2003 OR Foreign Equivalent.
  • Maryland Pharmacist License.
Education & Experience - Preferred
  • 1 year of experience preferred.

Schedule

12:30-9pm, every 4th weekend requirement

Compensation
  • Pay Range: $57.13-$85.75
  • Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift Differential
